Who’re you?

25, final year student at SMU Law. I gym. I like writing, fashion.

Why were you cool?

Couldn’t study day-and-night; needed a social life. Was a club promoter. Had cool friends; was cool by association?

Consciously or not, friendships are transactional.

Started gymming when I entered law school. Noticed a lack of male influencers in Singapore, wanted to be that. Attended invite-only events. Wanted to be seen as fun-loving.

Expanded my social network, gained free club memberships, clinched influencer deals with brands.

Are you hot?

People may find me attractive because I gym, am in law school. Photos of me have been circulated on Tumblr, misused for Tinder, Grindr profiles.

Dating?

I like independence, intelligence, good looks. People have commented, “You can do better.” Girls may be insecure from the attention I get on Instagram. Some think I’m a fuckboi: what else can good-looking guys do besides fuck around? *laughs jokingly* Others think I’m gay because I like fashion.

Why’d you stop being cool?

Getting likes on Instagram was addictive. Was going out for the sake of. Sacrificed personal happiness. Couldn’t grow personally. It came at the expense of grades. Wanted to make my parents proud, focus on a career in law, in line with my studies.

Will you be cool again?

I might put my legal studies on hold if there’s an opportunity to be an actor. Acting would require me to be in my prime; I can always sit for the bar exam later.

I’ll be responsible, better society with my influence.

What’s “PD” in @shrimpy.pd?

*laughs* Inside joke.

Are you a PD?

*laughs* No.
